For fifty years now, the Gospel Music Association has been recognizing and honoring Christian Music across multiple genres with the prestigious Dove Award. Each year artists, producers, songwriters, musicians, record labels and others in the Christian Music industry collaborate to create new music for the Christian market. And each year the Christian Music industry professionals make their submissions to meet the requirements for qualifying and consideration in the first round of voting for a potential Dove Award nomination.
It is now in the hands of GMA members to determine through the first voting process, who the final nominees will be in each category. Here are this year’s considerations of songs, albums and videos that John Mathis Jr was honored to be a part of:
