‘Rolling Papers’ is a 2015 documentary film directed by Mitch Dickman and featuring Recardo Baca.
While making the documentary, film makers searched and licensed music for the film. One of the songs secured was a ‘Country’ Johnny Mathis recording entitled, “My Heart Is On The Paper”, from the Avid Group Publishing/BMI catalog (John Mathis Jr.).
The documentary centers on the Denver Post’s introduction last year of the Cannabist section — led by Ricardo Baca, the world’s first marijuana editor — as he sets out to report history in the making with a team of straitlaced staff writers and offbeat freelancers. ‘Rolling Papers’ had its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, Texas in March 2015.
After the film debuted it landed a worldwide distribution deal with Alchemy, showing in select theaters across the nation and became available on Netflix in 2016 as well as other major streaming outlets such as Amazon Prime, iTunes and YouTube.
